I grew up in Virginia and received my B.S. in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech. I went on to complete my M.S. in Foods and Nutrition with my Dietetic Internship at the University of Georgia. After working as a clinical dietitian for almost 2 years, I missed the excitement and rigor of the academic environment and decided to return to school to complete a PhD.
Why did you choose the Nutritional Sciences Graduate Program at the University of Arizona?
I chose the Nutritional Sciences program because of the focus on interdepartmental collaboration, strength of research, and the wonderful faculty and students that serve as great mentors.
