About Me
I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, where I have chosen to stay for my educational journey. It led me to obtain a bachelor's degree in nutritional sciences, with a focus on dietetics, from the University of Arizona in 2023. I aspire to pursue further education through the Nutritional Sciences Graduate Program to attain a graduate degree. Subsequently, I aim to complete a dietetic internship to become a registered dietitian (RD).

As I continue my academic pursuits, I envision a career that encompasses teaching, counseling, and providing guidance to the public in the realm of nutritional science. I'm also passionate about incorporating various aspects of life that contribute to health and well-being, including exercise, metabolism, and the social determinants of health.

Why I chose the Nutritional Sciences Program at the University of Arizona
I selected the graduate program at the University of Arizona due to its location (within my hometown) and the opportunities it offers. Receiving the opportunity for a lab rotation during my initial year in the program was exciting as it allowed me to align my interests with a research project. I was looking for exposure to academia given my career aspirations, and this program also offered me an opportunity to be a teaching assistant.
