Ethical Considerations for Recommending Complementary & Alternative Medicine Modalities

A variety of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) modalities are increasingly being used by consumers. Dietetic professionals should be knowledgeable and competent to discuss the use of Complementary & Alternative Medicine modalities with their customers. Ethical dilemmas may arise in practice and thus, dietetic professionals should understand the principles of ethics and rely on the Academy's Code of Ethics as guiding principles for practice in this area, which will be discussed in this presentation.
